Amanda Pugh
Director of Operations [email protected] office: 443-567-5216 Amanda Pugh, Director of Operations at Maryland Center for the Arts, holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance from Goucher College. She has worked at MDCFA in marketing, development, grantswriting, program and fundraising event coordination, and volunteer recruitment since 2013. Amanda studied classical ballet since the age of four, and studied and performed cello music since the age of nine. She danced professionally with Doris Humphrey Restoration Project, Common Ground Dance Company, Baltimore Ballet, Maryland Dance Project, and Harford Dance Theater. Throughout her college career, she received distinguished awards including Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, Rosenberg Scholarship Award in Dance, Friends of Goucher Dance Award, the Goucher Gala Award, and the Global Citizen's Scholarship Award. In 2015, Amanda received the Maryland Top Twenty in the Their Twenties Award from the Maryland Daily Record, in recognition of her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit at the Maryland Center for the Arts. She served on the Nominating Committee with the Alumni Association of Goucher College, and taught Pilates at Goucher College from 2008-2015, 2018-2019. Amanda volunteers with the Worship Music ministry at Bel Air United Methodist Church as a cellist and vocalist. Amanda also teaches Pilates Equipment, Pilates Mat, and Les Mills Body Jam at the Bel Air Athletic Club. |
Carla Sparrow
Bookkeeper and Office Manager [email protected] office: 443-567-5216 Carla Sparrow is the Bookkeeper and Office Manager for the Maryland Center for the Arts. Carla is a full-charge bookkeeper and payroll specialist with executive management experience. She utilizes these skills to service small business and nonprofit agencies throughout Harford County since 2004. Carla also serves as Accounting Manager with the Humane Society of Harford County, and Bookkeeper for Wright's MHV, LLC, a privately owned recreational living community in Aberdeen, Maryland, and Mary Martin Postcards in Havre de Grace, MD. She previously served with the following organizations/committees: Legislative Committee, Harford County Chamber of Commerce; Executive Assistant, Route 40 Business Association; VP, Havre de Grace Rotary Club; Hospitality Ambassador, Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce. Carla was born in New York City and relocated to Maryland in 1983 and became a student at Coppin State College. She majored in Criminal Justice but decided accounting best suited her. She enjoys outdoor activities, the arts and food. |
Suzanne Zantop
Gifts Processor and Administrative Assistant [email protected] office: 443-567-5216 Suzanne Zantop serves as the Gifts Processor and Administrative Assistant at the Maryland Center for the Arts. She has been a small business owner and worked in the performing arts in Harford County for over 30 years. She was Artistic Director of the Harford Dance Theatre, Chair of the School Concerts Committee, and an actor in and director of numerous theatrical productions in the Baltimore area. In Dancing for the Arts 2015, Suzanne raised funds for the Maryland Center for the Arts on behalf of the Deer Creek Chorale, with whom she sings in the Chamber Choir. In her spare time, she writes a blog (www.mygreekchorus.com), studies ballroom dance, and travels. |
