Music Master Class and Concert Series featuring
Musicians of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Special Guests
Presented by Maryland Center for the Arts in partnership with
Music Land and Peter Minkler

About the Music Master Class Program:
The Maryland Center for the Arts partnered with Baltimore Symphony musicians and Music Land in Bel Air to host a master class and concert program for instrumental students, elementary through high school age, in a rare opportunity for everyone to interact with some of our region’s finest musicians in an intimate setting.   The master classes offered students the unique opportunity to play a solo piece of their choice to receive free, personalized coaching from a Baltimore Symphony musician.  Each master class was followed by a brief concert performed by the musician.

The program was offered from 2016-2019; and included master classes with Jonathan Carney (concertmaster-violinist), Peter Minkler (violist), Mary Woehr (violist) Bo Li (cellist), Randy Campora (trombonist), Rene Shapiro (trumpeter), William Jenken (clarinetist), David Sheets (bassist), Chelsea Knox (flutist), and special music guests: Carl Grubbs (saxophonist) and Rita Constanzi (harpist).
