Get your blank canvases stamped at the Center for the Arts table on Office St. next to the Harford County Courthouse in downtown Bel Air. Harford County Courthouse 20 W. The Quick Draw Competition is a plein air painting competition open to all levels of experience. Pre-registration is strongly recommended, but artists will have the opportunity to sign-up between 8am-9am on the day of the event at the Center for the Arts' registration table on Office St. next to the Harford County Courthouse and Main St. Youth (ages 17 and younger) and adults are invited to paint outdoors within designated areas in downtown Bel Air during the competition. Painters will have 2 hours to complete their works (9am-11am). Painters must bring their own art supplies, including easels and frames. Accepted media includes watercolor, acrylic, oils, and pastels. After the painting period ends, painters will submit their work for jurying and sale (11am-1pm). Awards will be presented by artist, Hai-Ou Hou, Owner of Chesapeake Fine Art Studio. Spectators will enjoy watching art created right before their eyes, and will have the opportunity to buy the paintings from 11am-1pm on Office St. at the Center for the Arts' table. |
