After a 35 year civil engineering career, Matt Fenton retired from engineering work and now is working full time as a fine artist. His art is inspired by the beauty of the visual environment anAd draws on experiences from his engineering career, particularly the rail transit projects he has managed. His formal artistic education began in the 1970s at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and has continued at the Mitchell School, School 33 for the Arts, the Zoll Studio, and the Schuler School of Fine Art.
