​Bear Legacy Adventure Trail

Location:  2503 S. Tollgate Rd Bel Air, MD 21015
Trails are open to the public from dawn to dusk, unless special work is done on the trails, please see below:

TRAILS UPDATE:

The trails have re-opened to visitors and the drilling work for the capital project is complete.  Thank you!

​This donation button is dedicated to support MCA's Bear Legacy Adventure Trail maintenance and development at the Maryland Center for the Arts' building site at 2503 S. Tollgate Rd Bel Air, Maryland.  The Maryland Center for the Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your donation is 100% tax deductible.  After giving a donation online, you will receive a receipt in your email.  Thank you for helping Bear Legacy maintain the nature trails on the Maryland Center for the Arts' property!

The Bear Legacy Adventure Trails span 4.1 miles throughout the Maryland Center for the Arts' property, and they are open to the public!  For more information about the Bear Legacy Adventure Trail, ways to get involved, and the latest on upcoming events at the trails, please visit:  https://bearlegacy.org/

If you are interested in organizing a party, event, or would like to help maintain the trails, please contact Stacy Brzozowski at stacy@bearlegacy.org 

To request to book space on the trails for an organizational event, please fill out this Event Request Form and email to szantop@mdcfa.org and stacy@bearlegacy.org

​Trail Policies:  
  • Please be mindful of cars and pedestrians crossing the parking lot and roadways.     
  • Please clean up after yourselves, your pets, and take your trash with you. 
  • Please clean up the picnic area and take all trash with you.
  • Please do not dump any trash at the entrance of the trails, nor in the parking lot, nor in any areas on the property.
  • The trails are open to the public, please be mindful of other trail users.

Bel Air Lions Youth Club: Volun-TEEN Leo Club's Volunteer Day at Maryland Center for the Arts' Bear Legacy Trails

Our maximum number of volunteers has been reached for this volunteer project. 
Contact: Brook Hopkins, Bel Air Lions youth club: VolunTeen Leo Club

​Project:  Painting of the Willy Wonka tree house 6 different colors, underside, rebuilding of 3 forts, Reset of 3 stations along the trail (Rock Flowers, Racetrack, Rainbow Labyrinth), and staining of 3 picnic tables.

Come out for a bike ride and some adventure activities on this fun little trail system and pump track!

POSTPONED TO A FUTURE DATE: Saturday, May 2, 2020:  8:00am - 2:00pm  Comcast Cares Volunteer Day at the Bear Legacy Adventure Trails
The Bear Legacy Adventure Trails have been selected again by Comcast to hold an outdoor volunteer day with Comcast Cares!   Hundreds of volunteers from Comcast will come to the Bear Legacy Adventure Trail to help with trail maintenance and enhancements to the trails!  For more information, visit https://bearlegacy.org/ or contact Stacy Brzozowski at stacy@bearlegacy.org.
